Here's an awesome Cubs "World Series Champs" youth large t-shirt from Majestic that will get any youth size small (6-8), youth large (14-16) kid or adult small excited. It's 100% cotton, Cubbie Blue, and the roster design on the back is a real bonus. For a size check/comparison, the youth small is 15" across (armpit-armpit) and 22" from the back top of the neck to the bottom of the shirt, and the youth large shirt is 17 1/2" across and 24 1/2" from the neck to the bottom and was made in Mexico.
The adult small, however, measures 17 1/2" across and is 27" in length. While the "across" numbers appear identical, they're really not, since the shirt is printed on a preshrunk Delta, while the youth large is not preshrunk. After a couple of washes, there will likely be a distinct width difference between the two. Just an FYI!
Lastly, notice in the photos there is one other difference between the youth large and adult small: When they print the youth shirts, they scale down the size of the print because they go all the way down to youth small, and they need to be able to fit the print on a youth small t-shirt without changing the size of the setup. So, even though the youth large and adult small have the same width to start, the print on the adult small is noticeably larger. Whew! Just wanted to be clear on that.
